Met Gala 2019: Our Favorite Looks
Our favorite looks from The 2019 Met Gala; Camp: Notes on Fashion.
Last night’s Met Gala, themed Camp: Notes on Fashion, saw the beautiful, bodacious blend of Art, Fashion, Film, Music, Literature, Culture and Craftsmanship. These elements combined harmoniously, to create some truly extravagant, exquisite outfits, that all created bold statements in their own right. In the wake of this annual, celebratory, fundraising event, we picked out our very favorite looks. Trust us when we say, it was a tough choice to pick just ten stand out looks when everyone looked fabulous!
10.) Emily Blunt – Blunt channeled Cher, as she shone in a emily-blunt sequined gown and heels.
9.) Gemma Chan – Showing her human side goregous headdress and deep v. sequined column gown by Tom Ford
8.) joan collins – The legendary Dynasty star nailed the theme and blossomed on the red carpet as she wore a layered, floral embellished by Valentino
7.) Cara Delevingne – Cara proudly displayed her Dior designed, Pride – inspired, rainbow striped bodysuit, complete with quirky headdress, and brought camp to a whole new, glorious wave length.
6.) Janelle Monae – in a surrealist inspired Picasso painting, triple hat created by Christian Siriano
5.) Celine-Dion – Dion is one of the few that actually managd to interpret the theme, finging al la môr
4.) Zendaya – This absolute bombshell always makes a lasting impression at The Met Gala, but this year may have just about topped the rest. The ex – Disney Channel star brought the magic and sparkle of Disney to the iconic Met steps last night, as she stunned in a shimmering Cinderella inspired outfit, designed by Tommy Hilfiger. She even left her glass slipper behind as she made her way through the paparazzi. If that’s not making a magically camp moment I don’t know what is!
3.) Constance Wu – The Crazy Rich Asians star star bought back an essence of timelessly elegant, Silver Screen Hollywood glamour in a Marchesa gown
2.) Anna Wintour – This lovely lady was the real star of the show last night. Wearing a beaded Chanel dress and matching feather cape, Wintour, Chair of the Met and Co Producer of the event, proudly made her way up the red carpet, taking in all of the costumes.
1.) Billy Porter – One of the most iconic entrances in Met Gala history, was nothing short of astonishing – the Kinky Boots actor was carried in on a litter via six muscled topless men. Will anyone ever top this?
